We're excited to be sharing biweekly updates here on our revamped website. From up to date fishing reports from Mag Bay, to new hosted travel opportunities, stories from our guides, affiliates and more, this blog will cover all things Los Locos. The movement is growing and we're stoked you all are along for the ride.
This week in Mag Bay has been fully wide open! With 43 Marlin landed yesterday and 3 more days to go, we're certainly on track to break our weekly record here in the first week of November! This bodes well for the rest of the season and our team is chomping at the bit to progress and advance our operations everyday.
If you've been following along on social media you've probably notice that we been Spaghetti tagging Billfish this season. We're working closely with the Billfish Foundation and Costa Del Mar to continue the progress started by our Marlin Fly Project 2 years ago. During this project we joined forces with the Billfish Foundation, the IGFA and Costa Del Mar to complete the first ever, fly only, Billfish tagging study. 15 satellite tags were deployed with our team of local captains and Costa pros in a matter of 2 days. This project was extremely successful and the first of its kind, true research for conservation's sake and an important moment in advancement of Billfish data collection.
This season we are spaghetti tagging Marlin and recording data for recaptures all over the world monitored by the Billfish foundation's team of scientists and supported by Costa Del Mar. Our guests will have the opportunity to be apart of this process, tag fish and collect data along side our team. Stay tuned for updates on this excited project and more!
Welcome aboard!
