Meet the Town
Our boats are built in San Carlos. Our trailers are built in San Carlos. Even our barbecues are built in San Carlos. If something breaks, we fix it in San Carlos.

How Los Locos Was Born – It Didn't Start with a Business Plan...
2016
The Adventure
In 2016, a group of friends from Wyoming embarked on an adventure, towing a 19-foot Boston Whaler, "The Black Pearl," to Baja with dreams of saltwater, big fish, and new places. They spent an entire month traveling up and down the Baja peninsula without a plan, fishing and surfing as much as possible.
2017
The Inception
The following year, the friends revisited their notes and researched the information they had gathered during their initial trip. "Magdalena Bay" emerged as a promising location, based on fish migrations and fishing reports. Determined to make the most of their next trip, friends and family joined.
2020
The Breakthrough
They spent the rest of the month fishing in Magdalena Bay, forging a strong bond with Fito and discovering they had found something truly special. As their relationship with Fito deepened, it became clear that there was a significant opportunity to start a fishing operation out of Mar Y Arena.
2024
The Opportunity
We are helping billfish conservation efforts, filming NatGeo-level videos of marlins attacking bait balls, and are learning an incredible amount about the species. Los Locos is honored to share the outstanding fishery of Magdalena Bay with fellow fishing enthusiasts.
